Program overview
SANKALPA is committed to building inclusive communities where every child with a disability is valued, accepted, and has equal opportunities to thrive. Through our Community Inclusion Program, we combine Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) with disability awareness and advocacy to reach underserved rural communities. We conduct early identification camps, home visits, community awareness campaigns, school sensitization programs, parent support meetings, and stakeholder workshops to reduce stigma and promote inclusion. Working closely with local governments, Anganwadi Centers, schools, ASHA workers, and community volunteers, we also facilitate access to disability certification, UDID cards, government welfare schemes, and educational entitlements. By strengthening community systems and empowering families, we ensure that children with developmental disabilities can participate fully in education, family life, and society with dignity and confidence.
